DENVER — Front Range voters will decide this November whether to raise sales taxes to fund a passenger rail line connecting Fort Collins to Pueblo. The Front Range Passenger Rail District’s board of directors voted Wednesday to place a measure on the ballot asking for a 0.33% sales tax increase — 33 cents on every $100 spent — to generate an estimated $295 million annually for the project. If approved, the tax would fund the district’s operations, planning, and construction of the proposed service along the Interstate 25 corridor. — Colorado Sun
