THORNTON — Two people were shot inside a vehicle on Colorado Boulevard Tuesday night, prompting a prolonged road closure that will impact commuters through the evening, Thornton police said. Colorado Boulevard is shut down from East 100th Avenue to Thornton Parkway while officers process the scene and investigate. The roadway will remain closed for an extended period, officials said.
